What Is A Paint Correction?
The process of machine polishing a paintwork to remove swirlmarks and hazing.

The Benefits:Long-lasting shine: Ceramic coating creates an incredibly glossy finish that lasts for years.

Easy cleaning: The coating repels water, dirt, and grime, making washing easier and less frequent

Protection from the elements: It shields against:

  • UV rays (prevents fading)
  • Water spots
  • Bug splatters
  • Minor scratches
  • Salt and mineral damage

Reduced maintenance: Less frequent washing and waxing needed. Along with giving the paintwork heat and stain resistance.

Paint Protection Film (PPF)

As a car owner, you take pride in keeping your vehicle looking its best. But despite your best efforts, everyday driving can take a toll on your car's paint job. That's where Paint Protection Film (PPF) comes in – a clear, thin layer of defence against scratches, chips, and cracks.

Why You Need Paint Protection FilmYour car's paint is vulnerable to damage from:

  • Road debris
  • Bug splatters
  • Stone chips
  • Car door dings
  • Salt and ice damage

Paint Protection Film provides an invisible barrier against these hazards, safeguarding your car's appearance and resale value.

  • Benefits of Paint Protection Film
  • Scratch Protection: PPF prevents minor scratches from everyday driving.
  • Chip and Crack Prevention: Film guards against rock chips, gravel damage, and salt and ice damage.
  • Preserves Resale Value: PPF helps maintain your car's original appearance.
  • Reduces Repair Costs: Prevents costly paint repairs and touch-ups.
  • Easy Maintenance: PPF makes cleaning easier, as debris doesn't stick to the film.
  • Customizable: PPF can be applied to specific areas (e.g., front bumper, door handles).

Where to Apply Paint Protection FilmFor maximum protection, consider applying PPF to these high-risk areas:

  • Front bumper
  • Hood
  • Door handles
  • Mirrors
  • Door edges
  • Trunk lid

Correct Washing Methods

Keeping your car clean is essential, but using the wrong washing method can damage the paint and harm the exterior. Follow these simple steps to ensure a safe and effective car wash:

Step 1: Snow Foam Pre-Wash

Start by applying a snow foam pre-wash to loosen dirt and debris. This gentle, pH-neutral formula:

  • Breaks down contaminants
  • Reduces risk of scratching
  • Makes washing easier

Step 2: Rinse

Rinse the pre-wash off with a hose or pressure washer, ensuring all areas are cleared.

Step 3: Snow Foam Contact Wash / Two Bucket Wash

Choose one of the following methods:

Option 1: Snow Foam Contact Wash

  • Apply snow foam directly to the car
  • Use a soft wash mitt or wash pad to gently agitate
  • Focus on one panel at a time

Option 2: Two Bucket Wash

  • Fill two buckets with soapy water and clean water
  • Dip your wash mitt in the soapy water, wring out thoroughly
  • Wash one panel at a time, rinsing the mitt in clean water between

Step 4: Rinse

horoughly rinse the car to remove all soap residue.

Step 5: Dry

Gently dry the car using:

  • Twister Drying Towels
  • Air blowers

Additional Tips:

  • Avoid using household cleaners or strong detergents - Ensure you're using pH Neutral detergent to not harm and coatings or waxes
  • Never use high-pressure washers too close to the paintwork
  • Regular washing helps maintain your car's appearance and resale value

Understanding pH Levels of Cleaning Products

The Science Behind Soap: Why pH Levels Matter for Your Car's CareWhen it comes to washing your car, not all soaps are created equal. Everyday detergents, like dishwashing soap, can harm your car's delicate surfaces. Here's why:The Risks of Household DetergentsDishwashing detergent, for example, uses salts to leave plates sparkling clean. However, these salts can:

  • Damage your car's paint
  • Strip away wax and coatings
  • Leave residue

The Importance of pH LevelsDedicated snow foam detergents are specifically designed for cars, with:

  • Lower concentrations to prevent damage
  • pH-neutral formulas to safeguard coatings and waxes

pH Levels: What You Need to Know

  • Alkaline (high pH): Effective against tough dirt, mud, and sand, but may strip coatings.
  • pH-Neutral (balanced pH): Safe for coatings, waxes, and paint.

Choosing the Right Snow Foam DetergentFor everyday washing, opt for pH-neutral detergents. For tougher dirt, consider alkaline snow foams like Fourby Foam, but exercise caution:

  • Alkaline detergents may not completely strip ceramic coatings, but pH-neutral is safest.

Protect Your Car's InvestmentUse dedicated snow foam detergents specifically designed for cars to:

  • Preserve coatings and waxes
  • Prevent paint damage
  • Maintain your car's showroom shine

Getting Started With Your Care Kit

Snow Foam Gun V2

You want to start off by selecting a Snow Foam Applicator. The easiest way to wash is with the Snow Foam Gun V2.

Fast setup, no wires or power needed. It is a 3-in-1- setup with ability to foam, jet spray and rinse .

The downside is you'll get a wet foam, that will sit on the car for around 5 minutes. It still provides a pre-wash and contact wash layer but won't produce thick foam.

Snow Foam OG+ Lance

The most desired wash is with a Snow Foam OG+ Lance.

A pressure washer & Snow Foam Lance combo will produce a thicker, mousse-like foam.

Foam cling time approximately 5 - 10 mins and the high pressure rinse will take more dirt off with less physical contact on the paintwork.

Snow Foam Berry Thick

Our latest and greatest Snow Foam Detergent in our range.

  • pH Neutral
  • Austrailan Made
  • Thick Foaming in a Snow Foam Lance
  • Fluffy Wet Foam in a Snow Foam Gun.

Works both as a pre-wash and contact wash.
